Peter John Stamatakos, 87, of Warwick died Thursday at home. He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. (George) Stamatakos. Born in Skala Lakonias, Greece, he was a son of the late John P. and Anastasia (Pandelokis) Stamatakos. Mr. Stamatakos was the owner and operator of Peter's Hot Wiener Restaurant on West Shore Road in Warwick for 42 years. He was a member of The Church of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Parish in Cranston, A.A.R.P. and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. He was the loving father of John Peter Stamatakos and his fiance Katina of Kansas and Nicholas P. Stamatakos and his wife Kerry of Warwick. Loving grandfather of Vanessa, Alexis, Tiffany and Tory. Caring brother of Kalliope Korbou and Antonia Christoforakou, both of Elos, Greece, Christina Roumelioti and Rebecca Caoussis, both of Montreal, Canada, Tasia Stathis of Athens, Greece, Vasiliki Diamontakou of Peristeria, Greece and Nikos Stamatakos of Skala Lakonis, Greece. His Funeral Service will be held Monday at 11:00 am in Church of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday 2-4 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95).
