James F. Slovensky, 69, of Cedar Pond Drive, Warwick, died Sunday at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a son of the late Frank J. and Josephine A. (Moranz) Slovensky and was raised by his adoptive parents the late Louis and Anne (Hayden) Slovensky. Mr. Slovensky was Vice President of Discovery Marketing & Design, Inc. and served in The United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of the University of Dayton, class of 1963. He was the beloved father of Sabin Smith of Warwick and Denise G. Pratt and her husband Guy of Parrish, FL. Loving twin brother of Mary Jo Slovensky of Cleveland, OH. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Thursday from 8:30-9:30 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Gregory The Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick.
