Roger L. Raymond, 87, of Coventry, died peacefully on April 6, 2010 at South County Hospital. Born in Manchester, NH, he was a son of the late Arthur Raymond and Rosilda (Lesard) Raymond. He was the loving husband of Julia (Perakovic) Raymond. Mr. Raymond was a Salesperson for Colony Ford and Manager of Sales for LeMays GMC Trucks for fifteen years until his retirement in 1989. He proudly served in the Army Air Force during WWII. Mr. Raymond lived in Warwick for many years as well as Jamestown for 15 years. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Mark Raymond of North Kingstown, and two daughters, Linda Dolan of Hingham, MA and Donna Raymond Nifong of Coventry. He leaves his five grandchildren, Tracy Gothberg, Michelle Enteado, Todd Kirton, Matthew Raymond, Katelin Raymond, and 9 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Aileen Stone of Bridgewater, MA and Sandra Raymond of Bridgewater, MA. A committal service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 11:00 am in The Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.
