Jerome J. Ohneck, 87, of Warwick, died Sunday at Kent Hospital. He was the husband of the late Gloria A. (Harris) Ohneck. Born in Freeport, Illinois, he was a son of the late George and Charlotte (Melchior) Ohneck. Mr. Ohneck was a Supervisor for the Quonset Point Naval Air Station until his retirement in 1984. Following his retirement, he served as a Maintenance Worker for the Town of Coventry, Parks & Recreation Division. He attended St. Barnabas Episcopal Church for many years and was a member of the National Assn. of Retired Federal Employees and A.A.R.P. He was the beloved father of Paul A. Ohneck of West Warwick, James A. Ohneck of Solon, OH and the late Lola Spencer. Cherished grandfather of five and great grandfather of five. He was the brother of the late Alberta Sieferman and Helen Akers. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Requiem Eucharist at 12 Noon in St. Barnabas Church, 3257 Post Road, Warwick.
