Bernard G. “Ben” Mondor, 85, of Warwick passed away peacefully Sunday at home. He was the beloved husband of Madeleine J. (Valois) Mondor. Born in Canada, he was a son of the late Rosario and Marie Ann (Breault) Mondor. Mr. Mondor was the owner of the Pawtucket Red Sox for 33 years. A WW II Veteran, he served in The United States Navy. He was a Community Benefactor and Philanthropist. He was the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews and the brother of the late Rene, Sylvio and Fred Mondor and Annette Laquerre. A Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated Thursday at 10:00 am in The Cathedral of SS Peter And Paul, Cathedral Square, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Ben's memory to the PawSox Charitable Foundation, P.O. Box 2365, Pawtucket, RI 02861 would be appreciated.
