Joyce (Upshall) Marsh, 83, of West Warwick, died peacefully Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Riverview Health Care of Coventry. Born in Providence, she was a daughte rof the late Cecil Upshall and Annie “Nancy” V. (Roles) Upshall. She was the life of the late Prescott L. Marsh, D.D.S.

Mrs. Marsh was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a Secretary at Brown University and a member of the former Church of the Messiah, Providence.
She leaves her two daughters, Linda M. Boskos and Diane M. Simmons, both of Coventry. Loving grandmother of Paul Simmons, Eric Simmons, Christopher Simmons, Emily Boskos, Evan Boskos, and Great-Grandmother of Ethan Prescott Ford. She was the sister of the late Cecil J. Upshall, Kenneth G. Upshall, and Hazel B. Roome.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 10:00 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A off I-95). A committal service will follow in Swan Point Cemetery Chapel, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to The Alzheimer's Association of RI, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906, would be appreciated.
