Giuseppina (Petrarca) Marini, 80, of Providence, died peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital on August 26, 2010. Born in Fornelli, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Orazio Petrarca and Carmina (Lancellotta) Petrarca. She was the loving wife of the late Geno Marini.

Mrs. Marini was a Mask Maker for Mosley Manufacturing until her retirement. She was a Communicant of Sacred Heart Church.

She leaves her three step sons, Loreto Marini and his wife Joanne of Providence, Frank Marini of Lincoln, and Geno Marini and his wife Brenda of North Providence. Cherished grandmother of seven step grandchildren, many step grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the loving sister of Pasquale Petrarca and his wife Lucia of Encino, CA, Evelyn Valenta of Johnston, Antonia Antonaccio of North Providence, Joanne Gauthier and her husband Gene of Orlando, FL and the late Vincenzo Petrarca, Rina D'Errico.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 9:30 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:15 am in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1210 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920 would be appreciated.
