Seraphina M. (Serpa) Johnson, 81, of Coventry passed away
peacefully Saturday at Alpine Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Born in West Warwick, she was one of sixteen children born to the late
Lionel and Frances (Simas) Serpa.

Ms. Johnson was a Lace Weaver for Concordia Manufacturing Co. in
Coventry until her retirement in 1977. She was a member of the
Fraternal Order of Eagles.

She was the beloved mother of Vincent P. Johnson, Patricia Sheridan
and Fern Johnson, all of Coventry, Laurie Johnson of Johnston and the
late Robert W. Johnson. Loving grandmother of eleven and great
grandmother of ten.

The funeral for Seraphina and her son Robert will be held Thursday at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony Church, Maple Avenue, West Warwick. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday 5-8 pm.
