Alexander J. Galbraith, Jr., 91, of Main Street, East Greenwich, passed away Wednesday at Riverview Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Eunice L. (Merritt) Galbraith. Born in Irwin, PA, he was the son of the late Alexander J. Galbraith, Sr. and Jessie (Gardner) Galbraith.
Mr. Galbraith was the owner and operator of an Electroplating Company for many years and served in The United States Coast Guard during WW II. He graduated from Leavenworth High School in Waterbury, CT in 1937.
He was a member of Warwick Central Baptist Church, where he served as treasurer for many years. A 3 rd Degree Mason, Mr. Galbraith was a member of King Solomon Lodge #11 F&AM since 1955 and the Sword of Bunker Hill.
He was the cherished uncle of Barbara Mulville and Ronald Mulville, both of Connecticut and Donald Mulville of California. He was the brother of the late Jessie Mulville and Margaret Hovey. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 9:30 am in Warwick Central Baptist Church, 3270 Post Road, Warwick. Burial, with military honors, will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
