William H. Gadrow , 70, of North Kingstown, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, July 3, 2010. Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of the late Harold D. Gadrow and Thelma I. (Carr) Gadrow. He was the companion of Diane Tucker. Mr. Gadrow was a firefighter with the North Kingstown Fire Department for 33 years until his retirement. He was the owner of the former Babbie's Texaco Station of Saunderstown and worked for Wickford Lumber. Mr. Gadrow was a member of the Slocum Grange, The East Greenwich Veterans Fireman's Association, and former Senior Warden of the Chapel of St. John the Divine of Saunderstown. He leaves a son, Glenn P. Gadrow of North Kingstown. Loving grandfather of Vanessa L. Williams of North Kingstown, Glenn P. Williams of North Kingstown, and two great-grandchildren. He was the brother of John D. Gadrow of North Kingstown and the late David M. Gadrow. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday, July 9, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown, with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm.
