Ruth E. (McDonald) Fitzgerald, 89, of Woodland Drive, West Warwick, died Friday at Riverview Nursing Home, Coventry. She was the wife of the late Donald F. Fitzgerald. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John B. McDonald. Mrs. Fitzgerald was a secretary for Allendale Insurance Co. until her retirement in 1992. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, West Warwick. She was the beloved mother of Geralyn M. Marcinko and her husband Rick of West Warwick and Donald G. Fitzgerald of North Kingstown. Loving grandmother of Tonya M. Fontaine. She was the sister of the late Irene Banspach. Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:30 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday 8:30 - 9:30 am.
