Rocco P. Ficazzola, 87, of East Greenwich, died Monday at home. He was the husband of the late Marion M. (Rayhill) Ficazzola. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Pancrazio and Rose Ficazzola. Mr. Ficazzola was a custodian for the East Greenwich School Department until his retirement in 1988 and served in The United States Army during WW II. He was a former member of the East Greenwich Volunteer Fire Department. He was the beloved father of William and his wife Jacqueline, Paul and his wife Debra, Rocco, Jr. and his wife Gail, Richard and his companion Joyce Zablocki, Dorothy Tully and her husband Mark, Shirley Simpanen, Rose Salvadore, Bonnie Correira and her husband Andrew, Mary Souza and her husband Joseph and Anne Tanner and her husband Charles. Cherished grandfather and great grandfather. Caring brother in law of Catherine Ficazzola. He was the brother of the late Anthony and Carmine Ficazzola. Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation Friday from 10:00 am - 12 Noon followed by a Funeral Service at 12 Noon in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial, with military honors, will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Kindly omit flowers.
