Jose I. Faria, 78, of Seth Drive, West Warwick, died Monday at Kent
Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Maria I. (Correia) Faria.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of the late Jose and Maria
(Sousa) Faria; he had lived in Bermuda for 17 years, where his children
were born, before moving to West Warwick.

Mr. Faria was a Batch Maker for Bradford Soap Works in West Warwick.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Parish in West Warwick.

He was the loving father of Joseph F. Faria and his wife Sherri-Lynn,
Donald A. Faria and Dominic C. Faria, all of West Warwick. Caring
brother of Antero Faria of West Warwick, Manuel Faria of Somerset, MA,
Herman Faria of Montreal, Canada, Maria L. Correia of West Warwick and
Eduarda Sousa of Fall River, MA. Cherished grandfather of Joshua and
Michael Faria.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony's Church, Maple Avenue,
West Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday 5-8 pm.
