Charles J. Davis, Sr., 86, of Warwick died Friday at Kent Hospital. He was the wife of the late Ida M. (Marsella) Davis. Born in South Bend, IN, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary Davis. Mr. Davis was an E.K.G. Technician for the V.A. Hospital in Davis Park, Providence and was previously employed by Grinell Corp. He served in The United States Army during WW II. He was a member and trustee of Buttonwoods Bible Chapel and was active in missionary trips to Haiti. He was the beloved father of Charles J. Davis, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Worcester, MA, Paul J. Davis and his wife Linda of Warwick, Linda A. Matheu of Tallahassee, FL and the late John and Tootsie Davis. Caring brother of Richard Davis of Warwick and the late Robert and John Davis. Cherished grandfather of six and great grandfather of two. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 am in Buttonwoods Bible Chapel, 311 Buttonwoods Avenue, Warwick. Burial, with military honors, will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday 5-9 pm at Buttonwoods Bible Chapel.
