Josey Lataille Cooper, 71, of Warwick, died peacefully on Friday, May 27, 2010 at Avalon Nursing Home, Warwick. Born in Lumberton, NC, she was a daughter of the late Harvey Hales and Elizabeth (Langley) Hales. She was the wife of the late William Cooper. Mrs. Cooper was a waitress at various restaurants until her retirement. She was a member of Shields Post 43. She leaves her nine children: Joseph R. Lataille of Warwick, Homer A. Lataille of NC, Linda J. Lataille of New Haven, CT, Deborah J. Kennedy of Providence, Michael V. Lataille of Warwick, Richard W. Lataille of FL, Charlene Szydlo of Warwick, William J. Lataille of Warwick, and Michelle Lataille of KS. Loving grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Ollie Hales and William Hales. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A off I-95). Burial will be private.
