Charles E. Brennan, 81, of North Kingstown, died peacefully at South County Hospital on June 10, 2010. Born in Lincoln, he was a son of the late Frank L. Brennan and Hilda E. (Wood) Brennan. He was the husband of the late Joan D. (Coffey) Brennan. Mr. Brennan was a Sheriff at the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal until his retirement in 1990. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He leaves his four children: Nancy J. Brennan of Holland, MI, Kathy M. Brennan of Santa Fe, NM, Charles E. Brennan, Jr. (NKPD Capt. Ret.), and John F. Brennan of North Attleboro, MA. Loving grandfather of seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Patricia Normand of Lithonia, GA, Ellen Wilkinson of NY, Howard Brennan of East Providence, and the late George Brennan, Francis Brennan, Anna Thatcher, and Barbara Brennan. His funeral will be held on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 9:45 am in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
