Walter F. Barnes, III, 46, of Saunderstown died peacefully Saturday at home. Born in Warwick, he was a beloved son of Walter F. Barnes, Jr. and Barbara F. (Petrarca) Barnes of Warwick.
Walter was the owner and operator of Tower Hill Farm in Saunderstown. He was also an Emergency Medical Technician serving private ambulance services. He was a graduate of Toll Gate High School, class of 1981 and was a member of the R.I. Nurserymen's Association and R.I. Farm Bureau. Walter was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was the father of Jeremy and Gene Barnes, both of Houlton, ME. Loving brother of Stephen M. Barnes and his wife Deborah of Warwick and Lori A. Lynch and her husband James of East Greenwich. Grandfather of one. Cherished uncle of Stephen M. Barnes, Jr., Caitlin A. Lynch and Lauren A. Barnes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 am in St. Gregory The Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday 4-8 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Flowers Welcome.
