Gail D. (Holland) Barnaby, 78, a retired Warwick Educator, died July 1, 2010 at Kent Hospital. She was the daughter of the late George C. and Clara (Dimond) Holland. Born in Providence, April 19, 1932, she was a lifelong resident of Warwick. A dedicated and respected teacher in the Warwick School System, Mrs. Barnaby was a longtime member of the History Department of Toll Gate High School until her retirement. She was a graduate of Rhode Island College, where she earned both her Masters in Education Degree and Doctorate in History. She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Gail Wood Murphy, Jeffrey Earle Wood, Gilbert Allen Wood and Janice Wood Moran. She was preceded in death by her late sister Joan Holland Wood. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Barnaby will be held Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 1:00 PM in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95).
