Lois F. (Wood) Ball, 79, of Warwick, died peacefully on Good Friday, April 2, 2010 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Ball. The couple were married on January 29, 1954. Mrs. Ball was born in Providence, March 13, 1931, a daughter of the late Wilfrid and Mary (Gaskell) Wood and has been a resident of Warwick for over 60 years. A supervisor in retail stores in RI, she retired in 1991, and was a graduate of Aldrich High School. Besides her husband, she is survived by her devoted children, Robert E. Ball, Jr. and his wife Cynthia A. Ball and Richard E. BAll and his wife Cynthia J. Ball, her granddaughters, Elizabeth, Susan, Erin, and Laurie Ball, and her sister Bonita Kenneth of Ashington State. Her funeral service will be held Monday evening, April 5, 2010 at 8:00 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A off I-95). Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to Beacon Hospice, 6946 Post Road, North Kingstown, RI 02852 would be appreciated.
