Bernice M. (Barton) Arey, 81, of Barrington, passed away Saturday at home. She was the beloved wife of Raymond E. Arey for 59 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Smith) Barton. Mrs. Arey was an Assistant Vice President in the Mortgage Department of Cape Cod Cooperative Bank in Yarmouthport, MA for over 20 years until her retirement. She enjoyed reading mystery novels. She was the loving sister of Alfred Barton of Coventry, Joseph Barton of Jamestown, Emma Besson of Palo Alto, CA, Elaine Blackwood of Enfield, CT and the late Patricia Curtis. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday at 11:00 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday 5-7 pm.
